The rebuilt Molotestad (i.e. restored land) is situated approximately six kilometres from Boons and is part of the magisterial district of Koster in the North West Province.

It also forms part of the so- called maize-quadrant. Molote village is about 40 kilometres west of Magaliesburg and 130km west v
of Johannesburg.
There are 93 claimant households (approximately 350 people are living on the claimed/restored land). The actual number of claimants has not been verified but is estimated to be approximately 4 000, since the land has been restored to the community as a whole.
